If you aren't familiar with Watkins, I invite you to check out all that it has to offer. My name is Caneel and I'm an Independent Manager with Watkins. I've created this site to make learning about Watkins very simple. If you are familiar with the company and the great products they have to offer (request a FREE CATALOG here using Assoc. Some of them I've tried and love, and some I plan on trying!
A litle history: Watkins Inc. began in 1868, offering some health "remedies" with a "money-back guarantee" (still effective today). The first product was the liniment, which is also still available.The product line began to expand to kitchen spices and more. The quality of their products is outstanding. The vanilla, black pepper and cinnamon were among Watkins products to bcome Gold Medal winners at the International Exposition held in Paris in 1928. They are currently working to provide more environmentally friendly products, and already have several available.
I joined Watkins as an independent associate just to get my own discount (you get 25%) on the products in the beginning of 2006. I like the products so much (the food as well as personal care!), I just wanted to get them cheaper. With Watkins, I feel like I'm making better quality choices on many products that I use often anyway. I didn't really have plans to make a business out of it, but people started hearing that I was in Watkins and wanted to order. After being in it for over a year, I decided to finally give the business side a try. I held a small Good Tastings party in March 2007 and fixed some pizza, chicken salad, banana pudding and chocolate orange fondue, all very easily, using Watkins products. My hostess prepared the bread and dip mixes I provided her and we served the bread with the Garlic & Parsley grapeseed oil as a dipping oil and crackers, vegetables and fruit to go with the dips. The party ended up totaling in sales over $500 from the handful of people who attended and a few more who weren't able to attend but wanted to order anyway. This gave my hostess more than $150 in free products!
Some great things about Watkins are: There are products for everyone, regardless of if you love to cook or hate to cook. It's not just food (although that's my favorite part!). Products are of the highest quality, so you want to continue using them. The prices are competitive with what you find in the stores. You can buy or sell Watkins without parties (but I think they are fun!). No quotas.
